I chose to become a PhillyPLUS Resident because I want to provide disadvantaged students with opportunities and guidance for academic and personal success.
Prior to the Residency, I worked for five years servicing individuals with a range of mild to severe cognitive disabilities first as an Applied Behavior Analysis Counselor, then as a Special Education teacher, and finally as a Special Education Liaison. I have serviced students in public, charter and private sectors of education, providing me with a well-rounded scope of the children we are serving. By creating an environment of high expectations, unparalleled leadership and positive relationships, I continue to drive significant academic and functional gains for even the most struggling learners.
